A Journey Full of Perplexion (Part - 6)

Gradually, Shreya was coming close to Aryan, they would hang-out on weekends, Aryan would visit her place, moreover he was her mom's favourite. Summer vacations were about to start, Aryan was packing his bag and his phone rang. Obviously it was none other than Shreya.

"Heyyy! What's up? What are you doing?"

"Lady! Please. Don't make my ears bleed. Just packing my bag by the way. You forgot? I'm going to my home tomorrow."

"Wow! You'll miss Delhi's hotness though!"
*Giggles*
"By the way; I want to visit your hometown someday. I've never been to Himachal! Invite me someday you muckworm!"

"Okay sure! You are welcome anytime."

"Don't you dare to forget! This summer I'm unable as we're going on a family trip, but next time you'll have to take me along!"

"Okay. Anything else?"

"Nothing, I'll come to drop you at the airport, be ready!"

"Okay miss! See ya!"

"Yup. Come to the entrance."

"What? Where?"

"You just said see you no? I'm here standing outside of your apartment. Come fast."

"Oh you woman! Okay wait a minute!"

Aryan was not at all ready to step out of his room, he was so untidy and his room was cluttered. But he didn't mind taking Shreya there.

"Seems like a nomad has just come out of his cave!" Shreya chuckled.

"So this is your room!? Just a week ago you said that you've arranged your room man!"

"Four days ago!" He corrected.

Shreya facepalmed and both went into the room after having lots of laughs and giggles.

"Please make some space and adjust to have a sit. I'll make coffee for us." Aryan said, as his bed was a total mess, it seemed like he was shifting to another city as his packing was horrible."

Shreya started packing his bag neatly. Within he brought coffee, half of his room was decluttered.

"Wow miss! Take this coffee as you must be feeling exhausted!" Aryan chortled.

Aryan sat and started blowing on his coffee to cool it down. His face would get covered in that warm fog, Shreya simply stared for a while.

"It's not that bad! You can have it."

Aryan's words disturbed Shreya's fantasy. She smiled softly and took a sip.

"It's just perfect Rawat ji! Just like the way I like!"

"Hehe! Let's pack bag first, I'll make something to eat then." Aryan winked.

"Yay chef! It's been a long time since I haven't had your special cheesy Maggie!"

Aryan sat down and both of them started organizing the room, and packing the bag.

"Have you taken everything? In case you forgot."

"Yes ma'am!" Aryan bowed down.

"Now go and make Maggie. I'll just help you in the kitchen."

"Heyyy!! Aryan look what I found! Is this you?"  Shreya shouted as usual, before Aryan went into the kitchen he came back.

"What?"

He saw few photographs in her hands and sat beside her, silently.

"Yeah it's baby me. This is my mom and this is my dad... Whom I never saw or probably I just don't  remember his face now."

He sighed, gazing at the ceiling.

Shreya held his hand and pulled him in the kitchen.

"I'm hungry you dumb!"

Aryan got up and they both began cooking.
Shreya asked,

"Just being curious, this time aunty wrote you letter! What might be the reason to do so? I mean never had she ever wrote to you to come no? Never felt this much urgency?"

"Probably she's thinking about my marriage. She wants me to settle down, to have a complete and happy faced family which she didn't have; ever."

"What!? But you're just 22!"

"Yeah! But maybe she'll start searching for a match, which might take time so..."

By this time, shreya's face became pale.

"Don't tell me you're joking!"

"I'm not! Leave it, maggie is ready."

To be continued...
